This week I designed a poster for Word Weavers for their performance at Duns Play Fest in May. The event will be held at the Volunteer Hall in Duns, 6th of May, 4pm. Word Weavers are a local group of creative writers who will read out their stories of fiction.
I recently updated a poster design for Duns Players. Their performance of WAUR is now going to be on in Coldingham Public Hall, Jan 27th and Reston Village Hall, Feb 13th 2026.
This week I have been designing the new tickets for the RSCDS. The Weekend event will be held in May 2026. I have included a sample of one of last years tickets for the coffee morning in Duns. The designs this time around will be different.
I designed this quick Christmas card on my iPhone. It took only a few minutes to create. I used the Photoshop app and adjusted a stock image, then I added some decoration with a little bit of holly. Then I added the message. I think Photoshop for iPhone is handy for creating quick simple designs. I would still use my desktop PC for more complex designs.
This week, I designed the programme for the Duns Players production of WAUR! which takes place at the Volunteer Hall on the 6th and 7th of November. The programme is an 8 page A5 keepsake of the show. There are nine separate shows that outline various wars, through the ages, that have affected the people of Berwickshire.
I recently designed the two page newsletter for our local SWT group. It was quite straightforward to lay out, with a bit of typesetting. After a couple of amends, it was approved for printing. The newsletter will be dispatched in November, into the main SWT magazine.
After a recent visit to the wonderful island of Islay, I created this wee postcard. We had a nice visit to Machir Bay near Kilchoman on the island. I used Photoshop for iPhone to edit the photo, then I added some bits of text and graphics in Freeform. All done on my phone.
