This week I designed an advertorial for Duns Players. It promotes the 3 events they are putting on in the autumn at the Volunteer Hall in Duns. I had a limited time to create something, but managed to get it done in time. I used AI to create the image with the magnifying glass. The advert is going into the Duns Community Newsletter.

Remove Background in Photoshop
Today I removed the background from this stock image using Photoshop. The enhanced tool is pretty accurate and it managed to capture all the wispy edges like the hair. It did miss a bit of the left arm of the woman, but that can be easily fixed.

Information Sign at Grantshouse
Last year I designed an information sign for Grantshouse Community Council. The sign points out some features in the area, like the electric charging point, the cafe and public toilets. This was a good project to work on.

Using AI generation in Photoshop
Today I was experimenting with the AI generation tool in Photoshop. I added a boat to this stock photo. As you can see, its not perfect as the back of the boat isn't right. It's a bit scary how powerful it is though. I fear AI will cause many job losses in the creative industries.

Experimenting with Generative AI in Photoshop

New Stickers for flowerbed planters in Duns Square
This week I did some stickers for the new planters in Duns Square for Keeping Duns Blooming Marvellous. KDBM are a gardening group who maintain all the public plant beds in Duns. The Duns logo is already on the older planters, so this is to match in with the rest.

Logo design for Stephen K Services
This week I made some adjustments to a logo design for Stephen K Services based in the Isle of Wight. The image of the globe is taken from a stock image, but my client is fine with that. The logo will be used for embroidery onto work shirts. I have done a few jobs for this client over the last few years, including business cards, note pads and stickers. My client is very happy with my work.
